The 2022 City of Perth Bakers Parade through the City of Perth in Scotland on Sunday 20th November 2022. This was part of the City of Perth Christmas Feast, which included Cake Fest at Horsecross Plaza where the parade finished. The guest host in the pink coat is TV personality Claire Sweeney. The band start with the tunes Scotland the Brave, then Rowan Tree and the Badge of Scotland.

Led by Drum Major Kenny Forbes and Pipe Major Alistair Duthie, the parade marches from St John Street onto High Street, then down Skinnergate to Mill Street and Horsecross Plaza. Bakers can be heard banging their dishes and pans as they marched. Bringing up the rear were The Absurdist Pipe Band, which consists of highly experienced musicians in their vibrant costumes, ready to surprise and entertain the public at festivals, gigs, parties, carnivals and concerts all over the country.

Back in the 16th century St.Obert was selected by the bakers of Perth as their patron, and every year on 10th December a Parade of Bakers took place in St.Obert’s honour, with bakers carrying torches, dancing, piping, and drumming.
