Replacing Steering Track Rods/Tie Rods & Steering Rack Gaiters - 1998 1999 BMW Z3 2.8 Roadster E36

Описание к видео Replacing Steering Track Rods/Tie Rods & Steering Rack Gaiters - 1998 1999 BMW Z3 2.8 Roadster E36

In this video I replace the corroded/rusty steering track rods / tie rods as one piece items incorporating the inner joint and track rod end. I also replace the power steering rack gaiters on my 1998 1999 BMW Z3 2.8 Roadster E36 5-speed manual in Arctic Silver. Replacement securing clips, as well as locknuts were used and components tightened to specified torque setting in Newton Metres (Nm).

I was very pleased to note that there was no leakage of ATF / power steering fluid when the gaiters / bellows / boots were removed. The vehicle will need a wheel alignment / tracking check following this repair as the setting of the correct lengths of the replacement track rods is only approximate and visual.

Parts used:
Track Rods - Lemforder - Autodoc
Bellows Kits - Febi Bilstein - Autodoc
