Well, I guess the times really ARE a-changin' aren't they?
This is one of Bob Dylan's best known songs, and one of my favourites. He wrote it as a deliberate attempt to create an anthem of change for the time, influenced by Irish and Scottish ballads. It was the title track of his third album (released in 1964). The single reached number 9 in the UK charts. Peter, Paul and Mary and Simon and Garfunkel did great cover versions of this one back in the 1960s.
