This film is a remixed version of the 1949 instructional film Going Steady, produced by Coronet Instructional Films, originally created for high school and young adult audiences. The original film examines dating, exclusivity, and social expectations around teenage relationships in post-war America, presenting a highly structured view of romance, behaviour, and emotional responsibility.

I have re-edited and re-scored the film using original electronic music performed by me under my music project, Gamma Knife. The score is used as a deliberate juxtaposition — placing contemporary, abstract sound against the film’s earnest mid-century tone to create tension, rhythm, and a re-contextualised emotional reading.
