In india there are lots of original inhabitant who are citizen of india before 1971 twenty seven april. but due to many reason like flood, proverty etc. But many of them have not any old documents​ to prove their citizenship and government is determining their nationality on the basis of those documents. So original inhabitant of India in assam suffering from lots of trouble to prove their nationality.
Assamese-Bengali hatred is a very much reality not of today, but from the dawn of Indian independence in 1947, or perhaps even before that.

Assamese hates Bengali people in the valley since traditionally Bengali people are much intelligent, educated and occupied almost all higher positions in government services as well as in local business with their ability. This is a hard reality of the Assamese people to envy Bengali people, and it turned hatred. So, they have initiated “Bongal Kheda” aviyaan several time to forcefully kick Bengali people out of the state.

NRC is nothing but an outcome of such envy-turned-hatred of those Assamese, and a government sponsored “Bongal Kheda” aviyaan which has a clear undeclared agenda to drive the Bengali speakers away from the state.

This NRC has eliminated around 40 lakh Bengali speakers, among with around 25 lakh are Hindus. Many of them are living there for centuries, but didn’t find their names in the NRC list. This is a selective elimination of Indian citizens in the name of illegal immigrants. So, outrage among Bengali people in Assam is much justified, since they are the victim of hatred of Assamese already existed, not the other way round.

Also, recently, Bangladesh Prime Minister quoted PM Modi that he has assured her that nobody will be pushed back to Bangladesh as a result of this NRC. This is only an internal politics of India. Well from this opinion, one can perhaps say that this is a politics of BJP to retain some share of their decaying votebank in the loksabha election

So, in any case, those Bengali people are the victims of vote bank politics, hence outrage is much possible from their part.
