PS3 fat delid like a Pro and fix YLOD - PART 2

Описание к видео PS3 fat delid like a Pro and fix YLOD - PART 2

This is a PS3 fat found in recycling, a genuine never opened ( intact seal) PS3 fat with the YLOD issue. Sweet!
The idea is to test the same fix as in part 1 and cover more detail.
I came up with a new way of installing the IHS ( CPU and RSX covers) on the main heatsink. Bothe IHS are sealed with the thermals paste included.
This will prevent the paste to dry and also much easier to change the thermal paste on the CPU and RSX silicon die.
After one year I gave up on the liquid silver, it was not working the way I wanted. Some weird pressure points appeared on the CPU die and the thermal contact was not good after some time.
The new method of sealing the IHS it seems to me so good, temperatures are up to 45 Celsius on home screen with 35% fan speed.
Thermal paste evens the contact better on the RSX die so the mechanical pressure is uniformly applied.
As you can see in the video, after de-lid and temporary install of the IHS the YLOD was still there. Replacing the Tokins was not giving any improving.
The final kick was the better mechanical pressure from the original heatsink.
It worked just out of the box, I was amazed. So this is my "new way" to fix the de-lid and YLOD issue.

Again, this educational video is done at your own risk and I have no responsibility if you break your PS3.
