Hey guys, after many hundreds of Darkhold Citadel runs, I came up with another trick that saves a second or two from the already fast gold farming runs! Read further for more details:

I'll actually start with the bottom line first:
10 sec: ran to the end and opened all chests;
12 sec: opened portal;
14 sec: got 85K gold;
15 sec: got all resources and 108K;
16 sec: 114K
18 sec: 117K

The best solution here is to wait 5 sec for gold and materials to fly in (starting to count from the moment of opening the chests). What I do is wait for the materials to fly in from across the level, wait max 1 sec and enter the portal.

Some runs are tiny bit faster, some take longer depending of the starting point. High movement speed is still a must, I find a bit of AR could also help by reducing the global skill cooldown.

Combined with the few nice spots for casting blink that I use (not my idea), this trick can save around 2 seconds per run, which is more than 10% extra gold on average. This is mostly a PC thing, on mobile I just run to the end, shatter, and grab the gold.

So if you're gold farming DC you have certainly been annoyed by the mobs that slow you down along the way.

Here is the trick - you can prevent that by casting vortex! Another cool recent finding for me - you don't have to release the mouse button to cast vortex, so it doesn't interrupt the flow!

One more tip: switch off all auto-attack options, so your toon doesn't run back after casting! I forgot to do this here.

These tricks won't make you a billionaire, but I hope they spice up gold farming a bit : )
