This video highlights SocRob’s participation in the Multi-Functional Service Robot Challenge at the first euRobin Coopetition in Nancy.

Similar to the general-purpose service robot task in RoboCup, the robot received instructions generated randomly by a command generator. Specifically, it was required to pick up an object from one kitchen and place it in another.

In a cooperative competition organized by our research group as part of this project, SocRob earned an honorable third place in the Service Robots League.

About euRobin
euROBIN is the European Network of Excellence (NoE) on AI-powered Robotics. As the sole NoE dedicated to robotics within this initiative, it aims to unify Europe’s scientific and technological excellence in the field. A key challenge it addresses is the transferability of cognition-enabled robotics methods across different systems, as well as among research partners and industry. The project focuses on creating methodologies, infrastructures, and incentives that facilitate the sharing of methods and data between diverse robots and applications.
