Our friends at GroTech donated some of their new products to us to try, including the new GroBuddy kit, which turns a traditional planter into a self-watering container, which will conserve water and prevent you from over- or under-watering your plants.

The GroBucket system that goes into the GroBuddy reservoir comes with a water level gauge that tells you how empty or full the reservoir is, so you know when it's time to refill the reservoir. So long as there is enough water in the reservoir, this innovative sub-irrigation system will self-regulate the water level in the soil so you never have to worry about watering again.

The overflow spout in the GroBuddy kit prevents the reservoir from getting too full. So long as there is a drain hole in the bottom of your traditional planter, any overflow of excess water will just drain out the bottom of the planter.
