The 7th instance of the Resilience Dialogue series: Financing Resilience in Post-2015 Frameworks

The development community increasingly recognizes that natural disasters threaten the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This places disaster risk management (DRM) firmly on the global development agenda. With the world’s poorest countries receiving less than 20% of the development financing for disaster risk, a core part of that effort will be to establish adequate and easily accessible funding options to build resilience in poor and vulnerable countries. Co-hosted by the European Union, the Government of Japan, USAID and the World Bank, this seventh instance of the Resilience Dialogue series will explore emerging and innovative financing strategies for the implementation of disaster and climate resilience programs.
