Santa Fe’s public housing system is broken — not because we lack resources, but because we lack oversight, fairness, and accountability. As a candidate for mayor, I’m committed to restoring integrity to affordable housing and ensuring it serves the people who truly need it.

Too many families are living in unsafe, poorly maintained units. Seniors are housed alongside high-risk activity. And shockingly, some individuals earning six-figure salaries continue to occupy subsidized housing — taking homes from those struggling to get by.

I’ve developed a comprehensive, ready-to-launch plan to fix this.

My approach will ensure local control, enforce income eligibility, separate senior and family housing, crack down on drug activity, and restore safe, dignified living conditions. We’ll also hold landlords accountable, fix broken Section 8 policies, and stop public housing abuse.

This is about protecting vulnerable families and seniors, and bringing fairness, safety, and trust back into the system.

Real leadership means having a plan — and I’m ready to deliver.
