Sayyidi Younus AlGohar explains the factors which influence how long it takes for a person’s Spiritual Heart to be initiated with Dhikr (invocation of God’s name).

- The purpose of synchronising God’s name with the heartbeats is to generate divine energy which will revive the Spiritual Heart which is in a dormant state atop the fleshy heart. For some people, His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi directly revives their Spiritual Heart, whereas common people’s hearts are revived first by implanting God’s name in the heartbeats.

- Thee are 180 000 esoteric veils upon the Spiritual Heart which comprise vices such as arrogance, lust and jealousy. As long as the veils of vices are upon your heart, your heart cannot invoke upon God. Only the Spiritual Guide can remove the veils with his spiritual concentration. Divine energy will only reach the Spiritual Heart once the veils upon it are removed.

- There are two types of people in the world: those who engage in physical sins and those who are involved in esoteric sins. Worldly people are involved in physical sins while religious people are more involved in esoteric sins. As long as one is a physical sinner, he is humble. Esoteric sins such as arrogance, jealous and enmity will lay waste to your good deeds. If you do not have a lot of esoteric sins, your Spiritual Heart will be initiated with Dhikr (invocation of God’s name) quicker. If it is taking time for you, perhaps the esoteric sins accumulated in your heart are a hurdle.

- To engage your Spiritual Heart in God’s remembrance is no small feat. It is a move to befriend God, so do not lose hope; have patience. If your Spiritual Heart is revived, it means God is pleased with you. Once your Spiritual Heart is revived in God’s remembrance, you must not turn away from the path of God’s love, for this is the path of the elite. When a Spiritual Heart invokes upon God, the Empyrean of God shakes with God’s name. If your Spiritual Heart is revived with God’s name, the devil cannot enter it. When you are in possession of a Spiritual Heart that remembers God, it is the first step towards becoming an Enlightened Conscience.
