This journey I travelled from Hamburg to Frankfurt aboard overnight DB ICE. This service is operated by a class BR 401 ICE 1 set, the first generation of Germany's high speed trains. DB operates overnight IC and ICE services (IC und ICE Nachtverbindungen) after they discontinued the CityNightLine sleeper trains in 2016.
