The dangerous heat wave gripping Southern California this week sent temperatures across the region soaring over 100 degrees. Several Excessive Heat Warnings were issued in the Southland, including in parts of the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Mountains and High Desert. Those warnings are in effect until Monday Sept. 9, when temperatures are expected to begin cooling down.

Rolling power outages across L.A. affected thousands of residents due to the heatwave.
