HOOKÉ S2E12 - QUÉBEC : DUCK HUNTING AND FALL FISHING

It’s late September and the salmon and trout fishing seasons are over, but there’s still time to do some bass fishing for another couple weeks. Certain outfitters in the area also offer the opportunity to fish for speckled trout at this time of year. Charles and Alexis were invited by their buddy François-Xavier to do some duck hunting along the St. Lawrence River, where Alexis got to learn more about the sport. The next day, the boys went to Baie-Sainte-Catherine to fish for trout with Robbie Esterson of Outfitter Humanity. In the evening, everybody gathered at Fred’s camp in Baie-Saint-Paul for a proper celebration of this year’s season. On the menu: shooting competitions and grilled meat.

HOOKÉ S2E12 - QUÉBEC : CHASSE AU CANARD ET PÊCHE D'AUTOMNE

Si la pêche au saumon et à la truite se termine à la fin septembre, la pêche à l’achigan reste une option pour des semaines encore dans le Saint-Laurent. Quelques pourvoiries des alentours offrent toujours la possibilité de pêcher la truite mouchetée. C’est dans ce contexte que Charles et Alexis se retrouvent, sur invitation de leur ami François-Xavier, sur les berges du Saint-Laurent où Charles et ses amis de longue date initient Alexis à la chasse au canard. Le lendemain, les gars voyagent jusqu’à Baie-Sainte-Catherine pour rejoindre Robbie Esterson de la pourvoirie Humanité, où ils taquinent la truite. Le soir venu, tous rejoignent Fred à son camp de Baie-Saint-Paul pour célébrer la fin de saison comme il se doit. Au menu, compétition de tir et grillades sur le feu.
