In this video, I go over a complete hi hat stand setup. A lot of more experienced drummers question why a video like this would need to be made, but there are drummers who are just starting out (or getting back into it) that are ACTUALLY curious about all the ins and outs of setting up hi hat cymbals.

There are a few things we can do with our hi hat cymbal assembly/ hi hat stand to make sure everything is dialed in. From better timekeeping, less overtones, and better logistics for faster playing, to simple remedies, such as where to start with how to fix a hi hat pull rod.

I go over some settings and best practices that are used by thousands of drummers. As with every video I put out, these are tips you can use or not. Every drummer is different at the end of the day, so use these hacks to experiment with what YOU like!

At the end, I drum with a couple different hi-hat settings so you can hear the differences.
