Everyone knows it: flying an RC model is extremely funny! You will always see videos about new models, new maneuvers, how to land the plane (stay tuned for that), and also crashes sometimes!

But what everyone never talks about is what happens after the flight: my Scanner, with a 9cc glow engine and 18% of oil in the fuel, gets extremely dirty. Things can get even worse when we have the brilliant idea to fly the Scanner in the rain and land in a grass runway (check out the previous video).

In this video you will see what are my 5 steps when it's about cleaning all the mess caused by our splendid ideas.

1. With some paper, remove the biggest parts of dirt from the surface, with special attention to the inner part of the control surfaces;
2. Use any house product you like for grease removal (I use the denatured alcohol) and wipe carefully with a microfiber towel;
3. Empty the tank and remove all the removable parts such as batteries;
4. Get ready to disassemble the wings for a better access underneath: remove any connector from the receiver and unscrew the wings;
5. Repeat same steps under the wing, cleaning also the landing gear.

This is how I have been taught and it works pretty well. If you have some secret tricks, or simply you do it differently, please let me know in the comments!
