A wonderful group of former staff members of College Settlement Camp (CSC) raised funds to help College Settlement Camp continue to provide outstanding support and educational programs to children in and around Philadelphia even though their summer 2020 program had to be cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
They challenged ourselves to walk, run, cycle and jog the total distance from Edinburgh to College Settlement Camp and back, 10,706 km. They accrued the miles from 22nd of June to 14th August which was the original summer camp season. The camp would have been filled with up to 1000 children over the course of the summer, growing, learning and having a chance to just be themselves.
Any donation you can give will be making a real difference to a young persons life by helping provide resources so that CSC can continue with their camp mission and bring the camp experience to the campers next summer. During the soso summer, CSC staff and alumni created videos which were fun, educational and sent inspiring messages from around the world to our campers. The camp sent resources home in the to children so they could continue to learn about the outdoors and have fun over the summer in the safety of their own home.
