Ocean Drive in Miami Beach is one of the most iconic and photographed streets in the United States. Located in the heart of South Beach, this legendary strip has been a symbol of art, nightlife, beach culture, and timeless style for nearly a century.

🏖️ 1920s–1930s: Ocean Drive was born during Miami Beach’s early development, with its famous pastel-colored Art Deco buildings emerging in the 1930s. These vibrant structures, with neon lights and curved lines, defined the area’s identity.

😴 1950s–1970s: After WWII, the area declined. Ocean Drive became quiet, known mainly for its elderly population and cheap hotels, fading from its glamorous past.

🎬 1980s: A major comeback. Thanks to the preservation efforts of local activists and the global popularity of the TV show "Miami Vice," Ocean Drive once again caught the spotlight. Fashion icons like Gianni Versace moved in, bringing luxury and art to the forefront.

🌟 1990s–2000s: The street transformed into a world-famous destination full of hotels, bars, and restaurants. The tragic death of Versace in 1997, right outside his mansion on Ocean Drive, marked a histori moment.
