While the new SX Series is an incredible evolution of Yamaha’s high-end grands, it is produced on the same production line as the CX Series pianos before being transferred to the CF factory for final refinement. However, I can tell that this particular piano was incredibly well cared for and likely did not require anything too invasive to bring it to its current showroom condition.
In fact, this is the piano I play at the end of the day after closing our doors. It’s a true one-of-a-kind gem—one that reminds me why I do what I do. I'm sure there is a Steinway model B out there that could give this S some real competition, but finding that B would be akin to finding a needle in a haystack of Steinway grands.

This S6 has been meticulously inspected and refined at one of the finest facilities in Hamamatsu, Japan. Staffed by expert technicians—many of whom are former Yamaha employees—this facility specializes in restoring Yamaha pianos to their original brilliance.
