What's included in our backstrap weaving kit?

We package every order with care and attention, including our Practice Backstrap Loom Kits! This kit includes everything you need to get weaving on a traditional Maya backstrap loom prepared by our partner weavers at Lake Atitlán. The warp has been carefully dyed with natural dyes using the dye-reisit "ikat" (or "jaspe" in Spanish) technique, and the weft is naturally-dyed indigo. All in cotton.
