chaat recipes are an integral part of indian cuisine and each state & city in india, has their own favorite chaat or their own way of making a chaat snack. Being an Odia chaat has always been my favourite. Ghuguni chaat is a famous street food of Odisha.
Ingredients:
Dried Yellow Peas(Matar) - half cup(soaked overnight)
Water - 1 cup approx.
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 1tbsp
Green Chillies - 2
1 large tomato chopped
1 medium size onion finely chopped
Few curry leaves
Bay Leaves - 2
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder -1/2 tsp
Jeera(Cumin) Powder - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Tamarind Pulp - 2 tbsp
Roasted & Salted Peanuts
Sev
Finely Chopped (Onions & Green Chillies)
Roasted & Crushed Cumin Seeds(2 tbsp) + 4 dry red chilli
Chat Powder - 1 tsp(optional)
Black Salt(as per taste)
Mustard Oil - 3 tbsp
