The Craic ‘n Food & Drink Tour is perfect for foodies who want to sample delicious food & drink from the area surrounding Lough Neagh & Its Waterways. This full day tour takes you on a journey into the wild and rugged Lough Neagh landscape and gives you an insight into how important the Lough was as a food source from the first arrival of man to Ireland.

On the tour, you will meet a local fisherman, and sample some traditionally cooked Lough Neagh eels, you will visit Ballyriff Buffalo farm and learn about the habits of these amazing creatures before sampling their tasty meat, you will visit the Old Thatch Inn for tastings of local, ciders, cheeses, oatcakes & chutneys, and enjoy a tale or two in the poets’ corner, where Seamus Heaney enjoyed a drink in his local pub many times. The final stop of the tour is at the Crosskey’s Inn, Ireland’s oldest thatched pub, famed for its toe-tapping traditional music sessions, which you will experience along with our local Heaney Beer tasting and more nibbles – you won’t go home hungry!
