Private sector lender Axis Bank, which will announce its September 2022 quarter (Q2FY23) results today, is expected to report a 40 per cent year-on-year jump in its net profit. It might see a rise of 8 per cent in its net profit on a quarterly basis. Its net interest income (NII) is likely to rise about 25 per cent YoY, according to brokerages.

Axis Bank had posted a net profit of Rs 3,133.3 crore, an operating profit of Rs 5,928.2 crore, an NII of Rs 7,900.3 crore, and net interest margin (NIM) of around 3.3 per cent in the year-ago quarter (Q2FY22).
