Georgia must continue 'rapprochement' with EU, says President Zourabichvili

In an interview with FRANCE 24, Georgian President Salomé Zourabichvili discussed the importance of her country's "rapprochement" with the European Union. "The political decision-making of the EU is not ripe today – because of different countries – to take any decision about enlargement", she explained. Asked about the wealth of high-ranking officials in Georgia, Zourabichvili insisted "we have very little elite corruption". Finally, she reacted to this summer's protests in the capital Tbilisi.
