Remake of the original 1982 game that was released for the Atari 2600, featuring the ability to choose between two characters (no differences aside from voices though), three difficulty choices and treasures to collect in each floor of the mansion. Versions for PC and X360 via XBLA also exist.

You go through a series of floors in each of the four locations inside the mansion: the main area, attic, basement and catacombs. Each one contains a bossfight at the fifth floor/section, where a wise usage of magical light sources is the strategical key to win. Both characters (who are siblings each other) are on a mission to find out what happened to their grandfather and so they visit the mansion to look for him.

Nothing else to say about this remake, other than it looks like it was targeted for a much younger audience because compared to the original, you are given clues on where to go independently of the difficulty, plus that the treasures are there for completion purposes and are not needed to progress, though I took the time to find them all, as well as the pieces for each of the 3 journals. I show their descriptions right after finishing the game. Then I put the credits roll and finally I show a gameplay sample with the female character.
