Описание к видео C. G. Jung and The Religious Instinct

SUMMARY: Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961) was a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who proposed a religious instinct, an inherent impulse for reflection and striving toward the Transcendent.
He studied the phenomenon of numinous experiences of the Divine, in a presence, dreams, visions and synchronicity. Throughout history and around the world, he found a universal language of symbols in a collective unconscious. He described the fullest development of a personality as an individuation process, identifying archetypes such as the Persona or public mask, Shadow or disowned aspects, Anima/Animus or guide, and the Self or the God-Image within. This lecture will review Jung's life, highlighting the development of his approach to spirituality, including his influence on the creation of Alcoholics Anonymous groups. In his autobiography, Jung wrote, "The decisive question for man is: Is he related to something infinite or not?"
