Originally Al Merrick made this shape for himself and rode variants of it for decades in conditions ranging from fun Rincon to maxing Sunset. Carrying more foam, a fuller rail and sleeker nose outline the M23 paddles like a champ whilst still riding more like a shortboard through turns. Catering to the widest possible type and size of surfer in the widest range of wave conditions possible the M23 is a truly versatile surfboard.
