Rayman Redemption OST (recorded in-game) - Corrupted Protoon (VS. Darkest Mr Dark)

This is it, the last main track of Rayman Redemption…

The theme of Darkest Mr Dark, the secret boss of the game, available at the very end of the True Boss Rush. This is a frenetic track which perfectly embodies the pure darkness and distorted nature of Mr Dark’s true last form of utter chaos once he corrupted the Great Protoon.
I believe this new form must be inspired by Mr Dark’s soul which you can see briefly when you defeat Mr Dark in the Game Boy Color version of Rayman. For this reason, at the time Ryemanni didn’t release the game’s soundtrack yet, I intended to name this track ‘The Darkest Soul’. Personally, I think this would have been a better name, but at least, the official one explains what we are fighting, which was left to interpretation before the track’s name was revealed.

As this is my last main video about Rayman Redemption and since it is about Darkest Mr Dark, I decided to go all out with the special effects at my disposal. I wanted to make something as chaotic as this incarnation of pure darkness, so some effects are quite crazy. As usual, I placed the most intense ones in the last parts of the video.
This is also why the video is so long, since I didn’t intend to ruin the comfort of anyone who just wants to listen to the track in peace while still providing something to people who want something with some movement and some visual intensity.

To finish this wonderful musical adventure, I left some messages in the video’s ending.
Thank you all so much for watching and for all the nice feedback, I really mean it. I’m really happy to see so many of you really enjoyed all the tracks. Seeing how many of you wanted to listen to them in individual videos proves I haven’t done the recordings and the uploads in vain.
Thanks to Ryemanni for creating this masterpiece and thanks to everyone who worked on the original Rayman, the first game I have ever played and the one which brought so much joy and magic to my childhood.
Most importantly, deep thanks to Rémi Gazel for his incredible work on the original soundtrack and for all his kindness. You will always live in our hearts and so will your compositions in our minds. Rest in peace.
