Daily Vocal Exercises for Singing EPIC High Notes

Описание к видео Daily Vocal Exercises for Singing EPIC High Notes

Gday Ian Castle here, your AVC and this is a vocal workout featuring the best exercises for singing epic high notes. Each exercise will start in a low range to suit basses and gradually ascend into baritone and tenor territory. I have included chapters for the recommended starting notes for higher voices. You will hear my voice demonstrating each exercise first in my high baritone voice. Use the breaks between each exercise to take a sip of water and release any tension. Make sure you sing in a range that is comfortable for your voice. Let's hit those high notes!

00 Intro

39 Exercise 1: This exercise features a series of leaps and a repeated top note. Your goal in this exercise is to maintain consistent volume and vocal tone. Avoid pushing or hitting the highest notes. Aim for a smooth and sustained vocal line.

24 Exercise 1 Baritone Starting Range

44 Exercise 1 Tenor Starting Range

59 Exercise 2: This exercise features a combination of leaps and runs to get you singing up into your higher range and back down through your mixed voice. You will need good breath support to do this exercise in one breath but it is also ok to take a breath before the run down. Just make sure to keep energised.

57 Exercise 2 Baritone Starting Range

16 Exercise 2 Tenor Starting Range

42 Exercise 3: This exercise features larger interval leaps. You will sing an interval of a 5th followed by an octave leap. Your goal is to sing the intervals with no gaps. You can achieve this by sliding between the notes. Just make sure you aren't pulling a heavy tone up to the highest notes. Keep your voice vibrant and energised.

49 Exercise 3 Baritone Starting Range

09 Exercise 3 Tenor Starting Range

21 Exercise 4: This exercise is an arpeggio pattern with a series of repeated top notes. Your goal for this exercise is to sing the phrase with consistent breath support and tone placement. When singing the repeated top notes make sure you don't grip or squeeze to sustain the notes. Allow your resonance and air flow to do all the work.

36 Exercise 4 Baritone and Tenor Starting Range

46 Exercise 5: This exercise is a little different to the previous exercises as it remains in your higher range. The previous exercises all finished back in either chest or mixed voice. You will sing an octave leap followed by a short riff. This exercise will require agility so make sure you don't drag a heavy tone up to the top notes. Focus on maintaining breath support, an open throat and a vibrant foward tone.
