9/17/12 Crazy microburst and intense hail storm in SE WI

Featured on The Weather Channel's "Weather Caught On Camera" series. Sorry for the crappy camera work in the raw footage This is the first video I ever recorded with a DSLR, so apologies for not staying wide (all the zooming was me trying to set the manual focus).

This was recorded in New Berlin, WI @ appx 3pm on Sept. 17th, 2012. Action gets started just before the 2:00 mark; microburst peaks at 3:00, hail continues after that. This storm was severe warned, although for wind, not hail. Maximum hail size was nickel, although it felt larger being pelted by it. Pretty sure this was a microburst event given the intensity of the precipitation at 2:54-ish and the reversal of wind near the end. No damage to report thankfully, just the mounds of hail that persisted hours after the event. Don't forget to watch in 1080p. :) Before and after image gallery here: http://imgur.com/a/FawNc
