This video is about 100 Rare and Most Valuable Postage Stamps of Italian Empire. Stamps have existed in the world since 1840. All countries issue stamps. Many of them has used stamps as a source of expressing their culture, history, tradition or some special occasion. Italy issued its first stamp in on 24th Feb 1862. Italian stamps were similar in design to those issued by Sardinia in 1855, but were perforated. The first complete philatelic issue inscribed "Poste Italiane" was released on 1st Dec 1863. Since then Italy kept on issuing beautiful stamps which depict its culture and history.
