The Isle of Man by motorcycle. A taste of the Island for visiting bikers : Part 1.

Описание к видео The Isle of Man by motorcycle. A taste of the Island for visiting bikers : Part 1.

For the last few years, this small group of biker friends have taken an October road trip, as a finale to the summer season.

Amazingly, even this late in the year, we have found ourselves blessed with fine weather, enjoying motorcycle trips to The Isle of Mull, and a Tour of Wales so far.

This year, we were tempted by the Isle of Man.

In Part One we ride to the Sound of Man Cafe at the Calf of Man, St Patrick’s Isle just off Peel Harbour in the West, and we take the opportunity to ride the famous Mountain Section of the Isle of Man TT Road race circuit.

In Part Two (Coming soon…) we visit the newly refurbished Laxey Wheel, the Point of Ayre lighthouse, and are given a special tour of an amazing Motor Museum at Jurby – which might just be, out of this world!

I hope you enjoy the video, if you do, please give it a thumbs up, and if you are a new visitor, you’d be giving the channel a chance to grow, if you were to press the subscribe button.

Billy was riding a Ducati Multistrada V4S, John had his BMW K1600GT, Alistair was stretching the legs of his BMW R1200GS and Stevie was campaigning his manky Honda CRF1000L.

Stevie’s cameras:
Helmet camera: Sena Prism Tube
Bike camera: GoPro Hero 7 Black
360 camera: Insta 360 one X2
Drone: DJI Mini 3 Pro/RC Controller

I hadn’t intended to make a film on this trip. The date creeped up on me and I hadn’t given any thought about places to visit or done any route planning.

I had an idea for the opener, and figured if I managed to capture the footage for the opener, I’d let the camera’s run and see if I could weave something out of it.

It wouldn’t have been possible to pull a story together without John’s footage, and Alistair and Billy’s photos, so thanks guys. Somehow, you happened to be rolling/shooting at precisely the moments that I wasn’t!!

I’m claiming this one as a Morecambe and Wise edit. “I’m playing all the right notes, not necessarily in the right order” Those who were there will know! Lol!

Short visual snippets also used from The Empress Hotel website, Culture Vanin, IOM Drones and Photography, MANN teavee and Manx National Heritage, transformed with music from Epidemic Sound and put into new context with our own narrative.
