Artist talk: Shigehiro Kodama × Akira Suga @ Gallery CONNECT PLUS

【Profile of Shigehiro Kodama】
Painter, President of the Space Human Resources Bank
Born in 1932 in Mie Town, Bungo-Ono City, Oita Prefecture.
After graduating from Oita University, he worked as a junior high school teacher while focusing on oil painting.
In 1962, he was selected for the Kohdo Art Exhibition for the first time, and became a member of the association in 1991.
In the prefecture, he participated in the Oita Avant-Garde Art Scene in 1961 and the Choryu Exhibition (now known as the New Choryu Exhibition) starting in 1980, contributing to the Oita art scene.
He was also involved in the founding of the Kohdo Oita Artists Association, dedicating efforts to the nurturing of new talent and revitalizing the association.
Even now, he continues to draw people in with his overwhelming energy that belies his age, constantly creating a future.

【児玉成弘プロフィール】
画家・宇宙人材銀行総裁
1932年 大分県豊後大野市三重町生まれ。
大分大学卒業後、中学教諭をしながら油彩画の制作に取り組む。
1962年行動美術展に初入選、1991年同協会会員に。
県内では1961年に大分前衛美術界、1980年から潮流展（現・新潮流展）などに参加し、
大分画檀の一翼を担う傍ら、行動大分作家協会の設立に関わり、
更新の育成や協会の活性化に力を注ぐ。
現在も尚、その人柄と年齢を感じさせない圧倒的なパワーで人々を巻き込み、
常に未来を作り続けている。
