Marcus: Dizzy, I thought you said this town was occupied.

Dizzy: Yeah. It was busier than a fiddler's elbow a few months ago!

Dom: People don't abandon a fuel depot for no reason.

Marcus: Okay. Keep an eye out for grubs. We might need to get out fast.

Dizzy: Ah, shit! Looks like they shut down the main pump.

Dom: The controls have to be somewhere along this pipeline.

Marcus: All right, let's follow it. Jace, Dizzy, you stay here while we check out the town.

Sam: Hello! Anybody home? We just need some fuel. So when were you last here, Dom?

Dom: Fifteen years. Maria's family, they're buried near the church. I wanted to bury her and the kids here too, but...

Hey, everybody stop! Look, the pipeline's rigged.

Marcus: Stay sharp, people. Could be an ambush.

Anya: Look out, it's got a motion sensor!

Sam: Marcus, we've got to disarm that charge before we go any further. Well, so far, so good. No signs of fighting. Or grubs. Look! There's another charge.

Dom: This isn't a trap. It's sabotage.

Marcus: Let's just disarm it and keep moving.

Sam: Why would they rig the pipeline with charges?

Marcus: I don't know. It might explain why the place is deserted, though.

Sam: Marcus, we've got another charge.

Marcus: Somebody definitely wanted... Take cover! Hey, check fire! We're Gears! Gears!

Man: Get your hands off those goddamn charges!

Marcus: Did you rig the pipeline? You want to blow this place up?

Man: Yeah! I got to stop this thing from spreading. Just let me get on with the job!

Dom: What thing? You got an epidemic?

Man: How the hell should I know what it is? It's some kind of fever. People start burning up, screaming, and fighting, turning crazy. And I'm damned if I'm going to turn up like that, like some rabid dog, not ever human anymore!

Marcus: You better come with us. We can get you some help.

Man: No, it's too late! Leave me alone!

Sam: Hey, come back! We need to know where else you've laid charges!

Dom: Well, he was interesting.

Sam: Whatever fever he was talking about, I hope it's not contagious.

Marcus: Let's just follow the pipeline and get the pump started.

Sam: Hey, we're COG! Don't run! We're on your side! Where'd he go?

Dom: Maybe he's the one who's gone nuts and they're hiding from him. Crazy bastard.

Marcus: Looks like the pipeline takes us into the sewers. Let's go.

Sam: Can you hear something? Apart from the water.

Marcus: Stranded. Probably hiding down here.

Sam: Oh, God. It's the crazy old man. But what killed him?

Marcus: Well, it wasn't a fever.
