Are Netbooks still Viable? Anti-X Linux on a HP Mini 311

Netbooks largely fell to the wayside, but are they still any good? Most Netbooks struggle to run any version of Windows. But how do they run Linux? Anti-X Linux is known to be VERY lightweight and fast, but even I was surprised at its performance on this HP Mini 311 Netbook. The Mini 311 is not a particularly high end Netbook (if there is even such a thing), sporting just 2GB RAM and a 32-Bit Intel Atom 1600MHz microprocessor and Nvidia Ion graphics. Somehow, Anti-X manages to fit in that measely amount of memory with extreme ease, not ever paging to the 5400RPM 160GB drive in my testing.
