After hitting pause on our travels for 36 hours so that I could get to Johannesburg for a quick work trip, the gang was back together again with Swaziland the goal.

But the joy of overlanding lies in the flexibility - both in the places you can stay as well as your time - so we decided not to make a mad dash for the border and rather enjoy just chilling and hanging out with the Van der Merwe's. What a wonderful time...

And then the rains came - a blessing I know - but with it a few challenges too! Like finding a new, less treacherous route across the border and a trailer that now came with a waterbed!

But as we crossed the border and started our trek up and around Sibebe, the rain clouds cleared, the mist rolled back and we were welcomed in the most dramatic fashion to the breathtaking beauty that is Off-Track Eswatini. Wow...literally on top of the world.

We have well and truly left the glamping behind and we couldn't be happier...even if we were sleeping in our wetsuits!
