Anne and Gilbert -- 'Back to the Start'

So this is a video I've been working on for over a year. It was actually requested by someone who watched my other AoGG video-- so my apologies for it taking so long to finally appear! This song is deceptively hard to edit- not so much because of the beat, more so because this is just a really difficult song to listen to on repeat; its really really pretty the first few times through but then parts of it start to grate on your nerves (as often happens with songs when vidding, this one just happened more frequently for me) :P

I do really really like how this turned out in the end. Its my first time incorporating book quotes with a show/fandom, so I hope those come across nicely!

I said on my last Anne/Gil vid how much I love these two and how much they and this adaptation mean to me, but I'll say it again--- nothing is ever going to match this version for me. I think its kind of flawless (ignoring the creative liberties taken in the Continuing Story), the cast and their chemistry, the beautiful cinematography and script to screen aspects makes it kind of untouchable. I tried watching the Netflix version and while I think its a great way to reignite this fandom (and I like the concept of exploring the darker side of Anne's past that we never fully get in the books- like yes I think its accurate that Anne's overly-sunny disposition is a defense mechanism for all she's been through) but no matter how good it may be, it can't compare with my 80's/Megan Follows/Jonathan Crombie version
