This is Session 2 of the IP vs SB Single-Raised Pot (SRP) study series.

When we open and the Small Blind flats, we usually keep both range and equity advantage, they’ve already 4-bet their strongest hands, so their calling range is more condensed. That means they defend really well on a lot of middling, paired, or connected boards, and we don’t just get to c-bet everything.

The EV between checking and betting is often very close. The real edge comes from having a clear plan across streets, understanding how our hand interacts with the board, how ranges shift on turns and rivers, and knowing when to apply pressure or slow down.

In this session we’re continuing the work from Session 1: running more boards, tightening up our flop checks and bets, handling check-raises better, and improving how we think through these spots in real time.

As always, the goal is simple, play logically, minimise EV loss, and build reliable decision patterns that hold up under solver review.
No charts, no memorisation, just practical, structured reasoning that actually makes sense in-game.
