See what it is like for the embarkation process at the Boston Cruise Port, aka the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal or officially, the Flynn Cruiseport Boston, via our cruise vlog. After arriving at the port at around 11 AM, boarding our cruise ship, the Holland America Veendam, took about half an hour which wasn't too bad at all.

First you drop off your large luggage, and then show your passports and cruise document/ticket to the gatekeeper. Next you are directed inside the terminal building, then go upstairs where you would go through an airport-like security screening. It was then you have to fill out some forms specific to your cruise- in our case, the ship was going to Cuba, so we had to ensure that the affidavit forms were all filled out and signed. You then go to the check-in counter, provide the documents and receive your room key cards. Soon after that you should be able to board the cruise ship.

It was time to eat lunch after boarding, so we showed a sampling of what was available on the Veendam buffet and what we ate. About 2 hours later, and shortly after the muster drill, it was time to sail away. See the beautiful Boston Harbor, including views of the Boston Skyline, and Logan International Airport, including several that flew overhead such as a Jetblue A320.

It was a great start to our June 2018 Cuba cruise for 14 days! If you have any questions or comments please post and we'd be happy to reply!
