Some Avatar fans are upset the latest movie in the franchise is not performing as well as the first two installments and are urging others to see the movie multiple times.

So far Avatar: Fire and Ash have earned over $1.3 billion at the global box office and still has some life in it. It’s likely the latest James Cameron film will still make several hundred million more before its theatrically run is over, but that’s well shy of the $2 billion mark the other two movies in the franchise hit. Not to mention the $400 million budget and marketing costs means the movie likely needed well over $1 billion in order to just break even. It seems as if the movie will still turn a profit, but Cameron had said if the movies don’t do well he will just hold a press conference and explain how the series would end, but they won’t make more Avatar films if they are not expected to turn a profit.
