G-Shock GBX100 - Did Casio improve on the original G-LIDE GWX-5600C?

A review of the Casio G-Shock G-Lide GBX-100 in which I look at it's features and benefits as well as it's downsides. I also compare this watch against it's predecessor, the GWX-5600C to see what has improved and what hasn't. Both the gbx-100 and gwx-5600c are g-shock g-lide watches aimed at surfers.

One of the main problems with the original GWX-5600C was the fact that the negative LCD display was difficult to read in low light conditions. In the Casio GBX 100, Casio have improved the negative display by using new MIP (memory in pixel) display technology. They have also added bluetooth connectivity to the GBX-100 which means that you can access all the phones settings and functions from your connected phone by using the G-Shock move app. The main drawback of the GBX100 however, is that they have taken away tough solar which the GWX-5600C had.
