The central structure for the ceremony was the mandap. We erected a four-poster frame, keeping the lines clean and open to allow the sea view to remain prominent. It was draped in soft, flowing fabric, likely white or a pale neutral, chosen specifically to catch the gentle sea breeze. Floral arrangements were concentrated at the upper corners and along the connecting beams – selections of softer-toned flowers combined with foliage added elegance without overwhelming the structure. Within the canopy of the mandap, hanging elements, perhaps delicate floral strings or subtle shining details, were suspended to add a touch of intricacy when viewed from within or up close.

Positioning is paramount in beach setups. The mandap was placed to face the water, offering an expansive view for the couple and guests. The ceremony was timed for the early morning, bathing the entire scene in warm, natural light – a factor we always suggest clients consider for coastal events as it adds an unparalleled atmospheric element. Guest seating was arranged directly on the sand in neat rows, ensuring everyone had a clear view of the proceedings against the backdrop of the waves. The pathway leading to the mandap was kept defined, guiding the procession naturally toward the focal point.

Working on the beach means embracing the environment. The design needs to feel integrated, not imposed. It's about selecting materials and colours that complement the sand, sea, and sky. We believe the decor should enhance the location's magic, contributing to the profound sense of occasion for the couple exchanging their vows.
