The strongest headlights in your car are called high beam headlights. They are used at night and in poor lighting conditions to light up as much of the road ahead as possible. Generally, high beams let you see about 350 ft and are suitable if you're driving faster than 25 mph.

In general, you should dim your high beam headlights when driving within 300 feet of another vehicle, or if you're within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle.

While high beams provide more light than low beams, they are also strong enough to blind other drivers if used incorrectly, which is why there are strict rules when it comes to using them (Different states have different rules).
