Turquoise Lake is a stunning gem in the southern Mission Mountain Wilderness in Montana. At just six miles one way, it's a relatively short overnight hike, but not exactly easy, as there is an elevation gain of nearly 2500 feet. Although this was hiked in July, there was still lots of snow on the high mountain terrain, and with the mountains diving sharply into the lakes, it looked more like Switzerland than Montana.
