Smt. Roja Kannan is a renowned Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, choreographer, and arts administrator. She has been performing and teaching Bharatanatyam for over five decades, and has established herself as a leading figure in the Indian classical dance scene.

Kannan began her training in Bharatanatyam at a young age under the guidance of Guru Adyar K. Lakshman and Guru Kalanidhi Narayanan. She quickly rose through the ranks, and soon became a sought-after performer. She has performed at major dance festivals in India and abroad, and has given lecture demonstrations on Bharatanatyam at universities and cultural institutions around the world.

In addition to her performing career, Kannan is also a dedicated teacher. She founded her own dance academy, Bharatha Natyalaya, in 1987. The academy has trained hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to become successful Bharatanatyam dancers in their own right.

Kalaimamani Roja is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Kalaimamani Award, the highest civilian award for art in Tamil Nadu. She is also a Fellow of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

Dr. Sahana Selvaganesh, a dedicated dental professional and a passionate Bharathanatyam dancer for 24 years, embodies the rich cultural heritage of our country.
Alongside earning her doctoral dental qualification and an MS in Implantology from Saveetha University, she currently serves as an assistant professor and Ph.D. scholar at Saveetha Dental College, Chennai.

Juggling roles as a performer, choreographer, teacher, and oral implantology practitioner, Dr. Sahana efficiently manages her diverse responsibilities. She has graced various national and international platforms, showcasing her artistry, and is a distinguished recipient of multiple prestigious awards and accolades in India. She's also an A-graded artist of Doordarshan, and an empanelled artist of ICCR (Indian center for cultural relations) and SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth).
