Kyle Rudolph's Big Hands and Big... Catches 😈 Every *SPLASH* Play with the Vikings!

Описание к видео Kyle Rudolph's Big Hands and Big... Catches 😈 Every *SPLASH* Play with the Vikings!

The best Rudy to come out of Notre Dame has hung up his cleats. Kyle Rudolph was a f**king beast. Gronk Lite, you might say. Huge hands, huge heart, presumably well-endowed. And even though he spent two more seasons in the NFL after being released by the Purple, Rudolph will always be a Viking—and he'll make it official by signing a one-day contract with Minnesota. The Vikings will honor him this week during (probably blowing ye olde Gjallarhorn before kickoff, and maybe something at halftime) the game against the San Diego Chargers of Los Angeles. So naturally, this called for Rudolph Splash Play Retrospective. Enjoy.

🏈 Splash plays are TDs, receptions 20 yards and longer, and runs 10 yards and longer (and Rudolph don't run). I threw a few 18 and 19-yarders in there, too, for good measure. Everything in here made him a fan favorite and a franchise legend. Move over-ish Steve Jordan (but don't, really, we love you, too—not your son, though. F**k the Saints).

👏 Rudolph was a second-round pick out of Notre Dame in the 2011 NFL Draft—making up for the earlier first-round pick of Christian Ponder (sorry, pain). Rudy quickly became a household name in Minnesota.

🔥 Kyle Rudolph holds the record for the most touchdown receptions by a Vikings tight end in franchise history. One of the most iconic moments in recent Vikings history was his game-winning touchdown catch in overtime during the 2019 wild-card playoff game in New Orleans. It was a moment that Vikings fans will cherish forever. Catch that bit from his post-game interview in here, too.

🌟 But it's not just touchdowns that made Rudolph special; it was his ability to make clutch receptions when the team needed them the most. His 4,642 receiving yards, which include an impressive 154 yards in six playoff games, rank him 11th in franchise history. Among franchise tight ends, he's second only to the legendary Steve Jordan.

🛡️ Considered an injury risk out of college, Rudolph proved to be a warrior on the field. He started an incredible 98 consecutive games, including the playoffs, from December 2014 to December 2020. This remarkable streak demonstrated his dedication and durability, earning him the respect of teammates and fans alike. And Although his time with the Vikings came to an end ahead of the 2021 season, Rudolph continued to showcase his skills with the New York Giants and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
