At the end of the second book, Gulliver escapes the country of the Giants (Brobdingnag) when an eagle carries a box that he was in and drops it in the ocean. After arriving home in England, Adjusting to normal life and interacting with people his own size at first proves to be difficult for him and he finds himself shouting and behaving strangely for a few days.
Ten days later, and despite his wife’s objection, Gulliver accepts another offer from a Captain named William Robinson to join his crew on a massive ship named Hopewell.
