Описание к видео Flat-backed Millipede - Dowdell's Knob

A cool Flat-backed Millipede species that I found crawling around at Dowdell's Knob. Not sure exactly what kind of flat backed millipede it is, as I apparently found several other pictures of this same species with people asking what kind and the responses just keep being that it's something within the Xystodesmidae family (flat backed millipedes) but everyone said they weren't sure on exact species.

The closest thing I've found to it online is Xystocheir dissecta, but these are native to California, far from Georgia so can't be one of those unless somebody's been transporting them or something. 😆 Someone else also found something that looks like Xystocheir dissecta in a state far from its native range, but when they asked about it online they were just told it was a pillbug which it was clearly not. Now it's got me REALLY wondering... 🤔

Other similar looking millipedes I found online that ARE native to my area (one of which I've seen before) are Cherokia georgiana (Georgia Flat-backed Millipede), Sigmoria Aberrans (Red Flat Millipede) and Apheloria corrugata (Aromatic Cherry Milipede). But those are larger, darker and more colorful. Still looks so much like Xystocheir dissecta... If those were native, I'd say that's it. But nope, not native, not native! What could it be???

Before looking it up, I assumed this was a Red Flat Millipede that was just smaller and lighter for some reason (Immature? Color morph? Simply variation?) but now I have no idea... Things can get really confusing with these millipedes! Whatever species it is, it was neat to see!
