As we drive into the small farming community of Genius in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, we step into a world shaped by hard work, resilience, and deep-rooted connection to the land. This is a place where farming is more than a livelihood — it is a way of life passed down through generations.

Along the way, we pass the Alpart Bauxite Mud Lake, a hazardous and controversial site where waste from aluminum production settles. It stands in sharp contrast to the beautiful green farms and peaceful countryside that surround it — reminding us of both the challenges and the strength of the people who live here.

Today’s journey leads us to Conseta, a three-foot-tall female farmer whose physical limitations have never defined her determination. Every day, she tends her farm with courage, pride, and an unbreakable spirit that inspires everyone who meets her.

This moment of giving is made possible through the generosity of the Gindel Adventist Church in Germany, whose kindness has crossed oceans to support a hardworking farmer in rural Jamaica.
